Are you saying that they require you to write a paper on something they haven't taught in order for you to graduate? Please advise what crazy "place of learning" require such a thing.


I remember the first time I took Partial Differential Equations ("particularly difficult exercise") as an undergrad. The prof told us that we were not going to be responsible for learning Eigenvalues/functions for the final because we didn't get to that subject before the semester ended. Sho' 'nuff, Eigenshit was on the final.

Which is why I took the class twice.
