Well, I wrote to Intel, if they could ask people who were at the birth of 8051 to share some memories.
First I wrote to their "corporate address for general questions", and was directred to the "embedded products" for more information. So I wrote to the "embedded products" support, receiving a reply that I should write to the "corporate address for general questions" :-) or to the "museum". So I wrote to the "museum" and received a scanned datasheet of 8051/8751/8031, marked "preliminary". I have learned a lesson, this is probably the way how corporations work. Left some bitter taste...
