Xilinx has an application note (XAPP058) on how to do this, including an example C program, but we haven't been able to make enough sense of it to turn it into useable assembly code. As it's a Xilinx App Note, have you tried asking Xilinx? If you want help with it here, how about posting a link to it? I've translated the CPLD program into an XSVF file, and converted that file to a block of DB statements in the assembly source. Sounds a bit laborious. Don't Xilinx have any tools to convert the "CPLD program" into Intel Hex that you can just stick into ROM and access as data? Terry A. Perdue said:
Another engineer managed to get the C program to compile, but the file it produced contains many lines that won't assemble Why don't you just get the compiler to compile it direct to object? What's the point of converting it to assembler? |
