I'm really sorry to be behind such a dust up. Especially since this was a sort of typo. It is standard practice to specify port throughput in baud, or bits per second. However, since a parallel port does 8 bits at a time it becomes Bytes per second (or baud per line). Anyway, somehow, instead of backing out of a post that I had decided not to bother with, I somehow managed to post one word of a subject heading. Mia culpa. Now Andy and Abhishek, shake hands and make up! ;-) |
