Renegotiating for changes can be difficult/impossible if the "original agreement" is not clear as gin. And while all are preparing to "eat" thousands of dollars in losses because the customer said, "This isn't what I wanted," let's not forget this important point. If it is not clear that your work is what was agreed to, then it is likely equally not clear that it is not. No, I did not make that sentence intentionally confusing (though accurate), but it does sort of support the point in a poetically metaphoric sort of way. The bottom line - your client will likely have as much interest in renegotiating as you do (unless you really did do a horribly incompetent job). |
