#89683 - Never mentioned multitasking Responding to: ???'s previous message |

nope, I am saying that however complex what you are doing within 64k and 8 bits it will NOT get easier by messing it up with a URTOS. On the contrary, the more complex, the more control you need.
Again: a subroutine is NOT as "task" in the true meaning of multitasking, thus when you run ONE task on a controller why mess it up with a process intended for multitasking?. If, however, you are making something that in the correct sense of the word is multitasking (two separate non-interactive programs) then, of course, an OS is (almost) mandatory. I never mentioned using an RTOS, URTOS or any other OS. I just said a simple work loop is inadequate for complex systems because, as you say, you need more control not less. Ian |
