the current in active mode is not the issue Yes, you're right of course. A faster MCU will spend less time in active mode, so the total consumption can be smaller. As long as the current actually drops in idle mode, unlike the Atmel... I have, in some cases, worked with "connector converter cables" nobody states that you have to use the connectors on the dongle on your board. the SILabs deviates uses 3 pins. Those are the ones I have considered. The Atmels, and I think some of the Silabs devices, need 6-7 pins, and then the header gets big. The Silabs C2 interface would but just 2 pins + power and ground, which would be fine. Mikkel |
