i have done several desings with the PSD813F2-A-U90 (the new chip)

all i need was a cpu (Siemens SAB-C515A-L24M @ 24MHz) and this WSi chip. I have my Ram inside, the latch, the boot flash, the flash for the normal source, several state machines, all decoding stuff for chip selects, the code banking and all is programmed with a JTAG interface. no need to program a chip off board. this is ideal for manufactoring. i have also included a "normal" socket for a 64K eprom -(simulator) for a faster software development. just a simple jumper to determine where to boot from ...

The PSD813F2-A-U90 in TQFP footprint is about DM 19.- per 100 pieces.

what do you want more ?

the only disadvantage that i can tell is that you have to erase a whole region and not only a single block from the banked flash areas. i hope they will change this in new releases.

The development software produces also some c-code examples for programming the device via isp, but the code is not ready to be used with keil or sdcc some modification needed.

the best thing is, the guys at waferscale are very quick in responding to problems and you get all informations as they get available, i mean they sent out e-mails to all registered users.
