As long as the IDE is only a crippled editor, plus a wrapper around a "normal" assembler/compiler, plus the debugger which works out of standard files format such as omf51, I see that it can be simply used for debugging only. But if I would be given a task to produce an IDE so that the user would be locked to it once he starts using it, I am quite confident I would be able to do something like what was mentioned above. I am not saying this is the case, I am curious. I know - from this Forum - it is NOT the case with the SiLabs one; I am curious how is it with the AD. JW |
