The software I'm using is called Aspire and it came with my Analog Devices board.
... and use something different (there should be an evaluation version of Keil uVision + C51 on the same CD). The Aspire IDE is a real kludge, and you really don't want to use their compiler (once you start programming in C instead of assembly). Thank you for the info. I actually have a full version of IAR Embedded Workbench (opinions??) but because I'm so new to this, I've been trying to start out simple and work my way into more complicated software packages and programming. I have spent many an hour writing some complex C++ programs in Visual Studio but making the leap from computer land to real hardware is taking me some time so the simpler the better right now. I do look forward to the day I outgrow it though! Take care, Brian |
