#147745 - DS1232 and P89C51Rx ISP |
The DS1232 watchdog/reset chip datasheet suggests that an "8051" ALE pin can be used to strobe the watchdog. The P89C51Rx app note says that one of the requirements to enter ISP mode is that ALE be "high or floating". Since the DS1232 data sheet does not specify the impedance of the strobe input...
Does anyone know whether ALE can remain connected during ISP entry? I could try it but that doesn't prove it is the correct thing to do. |
