It's simpler because it makes two simplifying assumptions

which both apply in the case discussed here.

Both "simplifying assumptions" were stated. Of course, if the dserivative is non-traditional, your formula is the only one useable (unless you modify mine to fit), but for the traditional '51 it holds, even if you use T2, the same formula can be used if divide by a constant is added.
