#121207 - Isn't that the long way around Robin Hood's barn? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
There are several ways, of course, to skin the proverbial cat, but the print-drivers that are offered as freeware or sampleware/shareware, seem to work just fine. If I can get a file to where it looks acceptable on the Windows screen, I can generate a useable PDF file. Unfortunately, I don't have the means to convert a PCL file, particularly one created under DOS, which I still use a LOT, into a PDF. That would make generating schematics much easier.
Presently, I have to enter the schematic using my old v3.22 OrCAD SDT, after which I have to transfer it to a version 4 OrCAD, then print-to-file using HPGL format. I then import it into an OLD version of CorelDRAW, which imports HPGL, while the new version doesn't, and there I can edit and print to file using the PDF printer driver. That's a lot of work, and that's why you've all seen so few (none, I believe) of my application circuits. I'm not a big proponent of PostScript, simply because, like FAX, it takes a small file and turns it into a BIG file, ... VERY big. A 1/2-K page of vector graphic format consumes >1 MB of bitmap. RE |
