#115734 - Remember the Sinclair ZX80 Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The venerable old ZX80 used a little bit of hardware support to shift the video bits but the poor old Z80 cpu was working overtime feeding the shift register. It still had enough time in the video retrace time to do some work and would blank the screen when it really had to think. Using a high speed cpu allows us the shift the bits also. |
