Having searched high and low several times for datasheets for older 805x derivatives, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be worthwhile to accumulate and store "old" datasheets for these chips before they become entirely unavailable.

Has anybody pursued the currently listed "chips" selection looking for datasheets lately? I found that a surprising number of the links led to absent pages. Google searches yielded sites which offered to sell me parts, but couldn't produce a datasheet.

As time wears on, and mfg's increasingly want us to use this week's deriviative, and forget about the one that's worked fine for years, and, as they are bought and sold by the various megacorporations, details tend to get lost.

Maybe we should save 'em ourselves?
