#112852 - 16-bitters Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I would like to ask your help to clarify some issues in the "unofficial history", namely on 16-bitters.
I have read somewhere that Siemens/Infineon derived their C166 16-bit family from '51. However, reading the C166 documents I found they are barely similar. Can anybody who knows the C166's better comment on this? (anyway I think I kick this out). Also, are there any other 16-bit '51 derivatives around, except 251 by Intel (2nd sourced by Temic/Atmel) and the XA by Philips? Thanks. Jan Waclawek |
