I take your point; however, it IS confusing for the newbies - they are used to download the datasheet and expect that's all what's needed.

In fact, this is one of the reasons why newbies don't like to use '51s these days. They want it all in one. They are used to that they are flooded by information (even if it is irrelevant, but that's not the case here). The competition does it in this way.

So to make justice, I'd like to say it is confusing at first but it is a logical approach, IF the datasheet contains links (references) to the "bible".

Would this do?
