The fact is that with proper design (and code) that would not be the case. Now, if you use 4711 metres of cable, do not connect ground to ground etc that then you may be able to get by by using a lower baudrate is, of course, true. HOWEVER, that is not a "fix" a "bug removal" or a "diagnostic aid" it is just a band-aid and even there in no neosporin. I am vehemently opposed to "fixing" things without removing the underlying cause. "fixing" things without removing the underlying cause will come back and bite you in your largest muscle. Erik |
