As one of researchers engaged in the development of biomedical devices, I must say the project such as the control system proposed by Vincent is a preliminary one. When we are confronted with the sincere inquiry, "When is your study available for the real use in daily life?", we feel some kind of helplessness that we are not almighty.
Please remember that limb prosthetic is a compiled work of many technologies, and required technologies are not developed at the same time. As you must live with the prosthetic made by current technology, we researchers must also realize our study on available technology, except that we are directly engaged in. Anyway, real voice from users always makes us realistic. Thank you for your sincere advice, though I don't have any relation with Vincent. Tsuneo |
