Ah yes, but with the exception of politicians, brains are massively parallel. There are THOUSANDS of control signal flowing per second down some of the main branches of the nervous system -like, I would assume, the sciatic nerve trunk feeding the legs. The trick is to FIND the one that means "lift big toe" and not the one that says "extend thigh hard and fast".... You have control signals going one way, proprioreception (internal feedback), touch, temperature - how do you work out which is which I suppose a neural network might be a good way, it seems to work successfully in wetware.
