#110849 - no answer possible
Responding to: ???'s previous message
will that +5V be enough (with its capacitors on each module) keep the whole string powered properly?
"the whole string"
can not be answered, there is no info as to "the string" asking in the extreme: if the string is 1 cm long, yes it will work, if it is a mile, no it will not. The whole thing is about capacitance and every foot of "string" will add to that. Tale the input capacitance of the chip, multiply by 16, make a calculation/estimate of tyhe wiring capacitance and then compatre that to the standard and you will know.

Well the manufucturer specs shows that it support 16 addresses on the chip. How very inventive, I saw 2 address pins, have never till now seen addressing by connecting address pins tp SDA/SCL, so, yes you are right you can have 16
