Does anybody have a suggestion for circuit or comment as to whether it's even possible, to tie 3 bits (bits 33, 34, 35) of the m5451 chip to a bcd to decimal decoder (CD4028B)? So it could drive the rows of my cathode column Dot Matrix displays?
1) the signal on these pins are NOT BCD but segments, so to do what you suggest, you would have to create a "truth table" and without having the time to do one myself, you need to see if you can find values that by using that can give you the choices you need. 2) you will, of course need pullup resistors and drivers Erik |
