#110590 - When asking questions like yours ALWAYS
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I am using 89c52 for most of my projects. I have found that my programmer can read the code even if I am locking the bits

5 possibilities
1) you are not actually locking (bad programmer or erroneous use of same)
2) you are using a derivative nobody has heard of
3) you are using a bootleg part
4) you are using a defective part
5) your programmer "remembers" and does not actually read

When asking questions like yours ALWAYS include full part name and manufacturer (BOTH programmer and chip).
