#110481 - be egotistical Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It seems that by posting code that us gurus will use our magic to decipher what the problem is. Unfortunately, due to the poor layout of the code, we would have to spend a lot of time rewriting the code so it makes rational sense to us.
everything Russell states in his excellent post is true, but I would like to rephrase the above in a form that a) I realize and b) maybe someone else will understand It seems that you are writing code in such a way that you must use your magic to decipher what the problem is. Unfortunately, due to the poor layout of the code, you would have to spend a lot of time rewriting the code so it makes rational sense to you. yes, I confess, In my early days of doing this I was modarately guilty of some of these sins (especially with debug detected fixes) but I soon learned that while readable code is essential to others, it is equally essential to yourself. setb 93h might mean something to you today but will it tomorrow?
