#110163 - The only REAL way to connect RS485 is de
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Jan says, it shouldn't daisy chain, what issue can arise.the appnote recommend it. Why Jan

Erik says, probably. I need the alternative if you please let me know

The only REAL way to connect RS485 is described in the 10 ways.... note

another issue is I want to attach the PC with master to let me know the status of each terminal. If i use the serial port for protocol, so how can i use it for Rs232 to PC, this is again my compulsion to use the AT89c51 /52.because i dont have Burner programmer for other derivative.

Get a SILabs devkit ($99-up) that will give you all you need to develop and program dual UART chips. In adition it will give you ICE capability and without that I would not even dream of developing what you are talking about. "serial debuuging" will be impossible since you are going to occupy the serial ports and "no debugging except console" does not sound promising.
