#108549 - another aspect Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you're an engineer trying to design a product, even if the volume for this one is low
When I work for small companies, I often get in the situation that I have to buy samples but so what. consider: How much do you "save" by trying to get them for free, instead of buying them. Time spent trying to get them for free $1000 (just a conservative number) 2 "samples" including shipping $47 Yes, I am aware that no one spend 3 days just to obtain some samples, but the math holds in every case I know, when the company is not in the "samples given automaticly" category Where I work right now (high volume user) I can get samples for the asking, but samples do not arrive next day air, so quite often, I resort to DigiKey and buy "samples".
