I don't know why your new arrangement does not work (the settings seem fine) but if you made some rudimentary error you should discover it by transmitting 'U's and checking the bit width on the scope; then trying to echo back averything it receives.
To transmit from PC's UART at nonstandard baudrates try using terminal by Bray. I think everything said above is already mentioned in Jon Ledbetter's UART kickstart document. I know I said probably nothing new for you but sometimes it is good to go back and check the basics. Jan Waclawek |
