#107143 - Crystals at Hi Temperatures |
I have a product that will need to work at just over 200 deg F (93 deg C), but the low end is room temperature, say, no less than 50 deg F. It will require a crystal for an RF transmitter, so I looked for high temperature crystals. Naturally, they are on the expensive side, so I started wondering if I could get away with using a standard temperature range crystal above its high limit. I can't find any data from the crystal manufacturers about this and they haven't replied to my technical info request (yet).
Anyone have any experience in attempting this? Thanks. tom |
