Mike, I was fighting and fighting after having built the programmer circuit. All the levels looked good, the appropriate mcu pins seemed to be pulled up and down correctly but it still wouldn't go.
I figured I should go through all the notes in response to my original query and Mike's was the one. I was not connecting PIN 9 (signal ground from PC) to my ground on the breadboard. Once I did that, all was well. Thanks to all, but especially to Mike Hymel. Of course, now I have to load my test prog, and build the other b-board, with the real live living program. Yippee! |
