#106721 - 7x2x2.5mm LCD output to breadboard
Responding to: ???'s previous message
(But to solve your problem: if you can get the mating connector, which I'll assume is some kind of surface-mount job (we use them by the bagful), and if you've got some soldering skills, you can jig it up.)

-- I've just got ordinary over-the-counter stuff.

(Basically, you TakPak (Loctite superglue) the mating connector to your breadboard, then solder 30-gauge (wire-wrap) wire to the header and to whatever the wires need to connect to. Once you're satisfied that the wires are good, TakPak the wires to keep them from coming off.)

-- Right now i'm using 24 gauge solid wire, but it's very difficult to work with and I'm about ready to give up; 30 gauge plus glue sounds like a good way to go, thanks!

-- First I tried extending a 2x7x2.5mm socket, but the first wire I tried to bend broke off. This might have been because my soldering is rusty. I haven't given up yet.

-- Then I tried inserting the LCD ouputs (spaced at 2.5mm) into the inner pins of two adjacent normal DIP sockets with the intention of inserting the outer pins into the breadboard (BB). Wire connects the bottoms of the inner pins (which are folded up) to the tops of the outer ones, i.e. plugged in. This looks as bizarre as it sounds!

One problem here is that the wire reduces the depth the pins can go into the BB since it's not the wire-wrap type; I might use wire-wrap sockets anyway and not use that BB for anything else; on the other hand there seems to be space available on this particular socket.

The other problem is that solder is getting on the LCD pins so I'll have to have another layer of socket in there. This one has to have 24 g. wire as it plugs into the tops of the outer pins.
