In order to reduce the hardware, I decided to use I2C bus which is available on all micros now instead of RS485 for example and to ease the implemetation for user I considered a PLUG and PLAY feature which frees him from knowing anything about the harware at all.
I do not know, please inform, are the "devices" in the same boz as the "master" Since it requires more complex code than traditional RS232, I faced that problem, because I don't have any previous experice on it. you get the code from CodeArchitect, free from www.esacademy.com if you use LPC, use as is, if P66x just redo the clock section, if SILabs derivatives other than the f3xx deviates, just redo the clock section and I'm sure many others with IIC HW are close enough to use the code as well.
