However, wouldn't a large power MOSFET do the trick? I seem to recall these being available with RDS(on) of 10 milliohms and lower. For moderate currents, this should translate into a very small voltage drop.</i?
yes, and no. Unless something has happened it seems/seemed that the smaller the Ron is the more drive the mosfets need. Thus you may end up with a separate power supply just for the gate voltage. Erik |
