However, there still IS something to be cleared. The last section says, it is possible to use the clockout mode simultaneously with baudrate generation. The last sentence says:

Now I think this is a nonsense.
The "normal" '52 datasheet say (I quote from the Intel document):

27238302.pdf on page 155 said:
Note, however, that the baud-rate and clock-out frequencies can not be determined independently from one another since they both use RCAP2H and RCAP2L


what is nonsense? Philips say they are the same, Intel say they can not be different

one say six, the other half a dozen
