If this is exposed to sunlight enough of the time, it can maintain charge on a battery pretty well, can't it? I don't know how much of the time it will be without solar input, but that would be the only time a battery would be used, aside from when it's charging. If the thing is fastened, it could be tethered, albeit with a short tether, since the solar battery can be mounted under a grate.
Just a thought. You'll have to consider, too, what chemical effects there are between your wiring, interconnects, etc, too. Who knows what'll be in the water. RE |
