#177918 - Board Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hey I think Ive seen that board before. From a SCM typewriter someone asked me to look at. It was completley dead. Turned out the transformer and bridge supplied 24 V. DC that operated the motors and printhead, Then a switching regulator took the 24 V. and dropped it down to 5 V. for the micros. Of course when the switcher failed shorted the micros got hit with 24 V. Bad design a shorted transistor and the typewriter was trash. |
