#177748 - svn cost Responding to: ???'s previous message |

http://www.svnrepository.com do it for me at $6.95 a month. Thanks. Anybody with a cost estimate for in-house setup/maintenance? Per, the directory copy method is fully adequate if it fits the requirements and needs (think for example asm vs C). I do the same and during the years I could not find anything *substantial* to justify a more fancy system (I DID use svn for some time so I do have SOME experience with that, too, to be able to judge). The frequency of saves depends on ones' particular needs, too; I rarely do more than one-two a day. Note that the vast majority of my work is more-less isolated from others', and in a small company with no "IT" or similar background support. Your comments indicate that you don't work in such environment thus simply don't understand its needs. JW |
