You can also discharge other objects charged up by the belts/rollers arrangement. Years ago, I tried to remove the cover from a mattress made of foam rubber. As it was a cold winter day, air was very dry. So, after some minutes of handling with this damned mattress my right arm got "electrocuted", when I touched the metal core of mattress. That was really really painful and hurted even the next day! Something similar can happen with this belts/rollers arrangement, when a grounding problem occurs.
