#105345 - Power resistor selection Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello all ,
I need to connect 7805 to a 35VDC rectified o/p. For this I need to produce a voltage drop of 20 V before giving it to 7805. can any one suggest me suitable means to do it. I thought of connecting a power resistor in series to 35V and it is followed by a zener regulator of 15 volts which is given to 7805 i/p. Iam confused in selecting the rating of these components.can any one suggest me the required rating that must be used for these components to give a 15 V i/p to 7805. Thanking you, -suresh. |
