#98925 - no free ALE possible ! Responding to: ???'s previous message |

i want to free the ALE signal.
The ALE can not be used as general IO port, so threre is no possibility to use it for other purposes as a clock output. On using ALE to fire the DS1232, it works as a pure reset circuit without any watchdog function. Thus I use on my boards always the MAX813L / SP813L watchdog + reset circuit. During software developing it can be simple disabled by a jumper. Peter |
