Does the DS1232 have a decoupling cap directly at his supply terminals? DS1232 is known to be critical referring to layout and decoupling measures! Maybe a Max1232 would work? Since some time, I do only use the MAX1232 if I need the '1232' series. If oscillator signals cannot be used, maybe there's any other port line arround, which is toggling all the time and could feed the watchdog? Kai |
