#978 - RE: Atmel Flash Programmer |
Aaron,
I just built a programmer for an AT89S8252 using the parallel port on my computer and a simple visual basic app that I wrote. All you need is some sort of buffer between the parallel port pins and the atmel part. I used a 2-input NAND schmitt trigger from radio shack. I also had to use a high quality parallel cable from my computer to the project. I'm not sure about the parts you want to use, but the AT89S8252 is REAL edge sensitive on the SCLK pin. Thats why I had to use a schmitt trigger device. I tried using a 74244 part and that would not work at all. Good Luck, Mike mpayne@austin.rr.com |
