I found one that looks promising on the Dontronics website that targets the AT89C2051. This programmer was designed by Peter Averill, and includes schematic and PCB layout. It's a little simpler, since it ony includes connections for the 89C2051 chip.

Has anyone tried this one before? Did it work?
