#96152 - So far so good! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
This is turning out to be a relativly easy project. I'm about 3/4 of the way reverse engineering the schematic of the circuit. Basically, it's a little PIC12C508A that holds the magic "code". I'm 99% sure this code will be static.
When the button is depressed, a one-transistor oscillator produces the carrier frequency and the 508A outputs the code "string" using on-off keying. No fancy modulation at all. Tomorrow, I'll read the digital code with a scope and finish up the schematic. Looks like it won't be much of an 8051 project at all...simple micro to read a button and output a pulse at low frequency. If anybody is interrested in the final schematicinfo, I'll be happy to post. Otherwise, I think this has deviated further from a 8051 project than I thought it would originally. On another note, this does seem like a very cheapeasy way to transmit small amounts of data one-way via RF. This may turn out to be pretty useful to me in some future project. Thanks for all the help! Fun stuff! Tomas |
