#92313 - Compact flash for code memory? |
Right, i know that compact flash can be linked very easily with the 8051, but can I use one as my code memory, as if it was an eprom? would this be a straightforward swap from the eprom to the CF card, or would more logic gates etc be needed? This would mean I can rewrite my code and use a USB card reader for my pc and a bit of tweaking with a drive hex editor and my assembled code should go straight on to it and run, without the need for any eprom programming at all? Before i get a reply with "use a 8051 with internal flash", i already have the micros and they are of the no internal code memory variety (8031).
