Hello Michael,

the MXD1210 has /CEin and /CEout pin. During Powerfail Conditions the SRAM can't be accesed if the CE - signal from CPU/PAL/GAL/FPGA.. is swithed over the MXD1210. The SRAM - datalines goes in TRISTATE and the CPU can't get current from the SRAM.

I already use the MXD1210/MAX1210 a couple of years without any problems.
