Let's try TPIC6B595 of TI Serial shift register with Driver(open drain) sink current up to 500mA.

I hove searched all over but I just can't find any....may I'll just settle with 74ls241 instead of using uln2803, but I think I can still use a couple of uln2803 to drive 2 separate colors of led and turn them on/off via 8051 with their gnd pins, if one uln2803 is off, most of the currents will be diverted to the other uln2803 therefore, negligible currents will be sinked by the 8051 mcu, am i right?
