#147813 - the difference between programming and programming
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Charles,

I was about to refer you to Nimish's project of a <href="a">http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=145638">a standalone programmer which not only enables device programming but also modification of the code, but then I realized that you were one of those who contributed to discussion around that one... :-)

Nevertheless, it's a good job. Of course I could suggest expanding it into programming other AT89S's, LPC9xx's, the UART-based '51s, AVRs, PICs, add a huge LCD display and build a super-universal-gadged out of it... But, the question remains, why would you...

Let this be an example of a complete, canonically simple solution to a very particular problem (programming AT89S's off-site)... Thanks.

JW
