#124928 - Compiling for the 8051 Arch.
Hi everyone!

I know, I know, this is probably going to be a question that has been answered plenty of times, but I fear I'm going to ask it again (new user, by the way!)

Our development team has decided to work with one of the ATMEL 8051 chips (SND1) for some mp3 audio applications. We've never used this chipset before, and we're looking for C compilers for the architecture. We've been playing around with the Small Devices C Compiler (http://sdcc.sourceforge.net/), trying to get that to work with some sample programs, but we keep running aground!

We're looking for some good C-compilers that are tailored to the 8051 arch and I would very much appreciate any suggestions you all might have.

Thanks!

-E.T.
