This device has it's own crystal oscillator so the spi clock does not affect the a/d. The datasheet tells us the minimum clock high and low times are 100nS each. So, as long as you obey these minimum times and the other timing requirements, your chance of success is high. Put simply, you can clock the spi at any rate you like as long as its below about 5MHz.
