Thank you Richard, but I think this is adapter board not the complete programmer! I think it needs the Kiel board.

It does. for the "lesser" LPCs the programming uses the MCB900 as an ISP to ICP converter. Many have tried to make their own MCB900 and failed, I guess you have to spnd the $50 or so. Again shop around.

Another option, if you are making a one off is to use a LPC93x, they can be programmed directly via a RS232 chip from the PC. That will cost you a buck more than the little one you are trying to use.
